My Favorite Sugar Cookie Recipe

Hey friends! I am sharing my absolute favorite sugar cookie recipe!

I believe I got this recipe from Daryl-Ann Denner!

It's a super simple recipe, but you do need to let the dough sit in the fridge for one hour before you put it into the oven.

Ingredients

• 1 cup butter, room temperature

• 1 cup sugar

• 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

• 1 egg

• 1 teaspoon water

• 3 cups flour

• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

• 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

1. Cream butter, sugar, and vanilla.

2. Add egg and water. Beat until light and fluffy.

3. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Sift together.

4. Blend dry mixture into creamed mixture, and divide the dough in half. Wrap each half in plastic wrap and place in the fridge for one hour.

5. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

6. Take the dough out of the fridge, roll it out, and make desired cookie shapes.

7. Bake for 6-8 minutes, and take them out before the edges turn brown.
